Episode 27: Interview With Arenda Holladay April 30, 2010

Filed under: Show Notes — RedQueen @ 11:30 pm

Listen HERE!!

.

This is an interview with one of the co-chairs of the TKGA, Arenda Holladay.  She was kind enough to spend a LONG time with me, chatting about everything under the sun. :)    RedQueen and Arenda discuss the Masters program, copyright laws, photo shoot shenanigans, Cast-On Magazine, gauge problems….

This is the mag with the “Wasp Wing Socks” in it.

.The sweater on the cover is the one we’re referring to:  the “Little Red Hooded Coat”

Many many thanks to Arenda, as well as deepest apologies for not publishing this interview sooner.  I hope that all of those working through the Masters program will take her advice and enjoy the process.  And for anyone who hasn’t yet enrolled, but has been thinking about it, I hope that listening to this gives you the confidence to do it!

I am just starting to listen to your podcast and I really like the interviews that you are doing. However I wonder if the venues for these interviews could be made to a quieter setting. The first one I listened to was in a coffee shop and the road traffic was very distracting as is this setting. I have never commented on a podcast before and would like to give a postive comment, so am very reluctant to mention the ambient noise during these interviews. I hope this can be improved somehow. Keep up the good work.

Yes, this is exactly why it took me so long to post these interviews. Since this was the first one I’d done, I made the terrible mistake of a) having the interview in a casino, and b) using the built-in microphone on my recorder instead of attaching a directional mic. :( I was trying to do some post-production magic to eliminate some of the background noise, but alas, it is impossible with my limited skills. Never be reluctant to give us commentary! Without comments, we don’t know what to fix! We’re always happy to hear from our listeners! :) Thanks for joining us!
